I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember. In high school and college, I was never without one — always mid-chapter, always with a stack waiting on the nightstand. Then life got louder, the real world moved in, and somewhere along the way, my reading life quietly took a back seat.

It found its way back to me in Fall 2023, while my husband was deployed. What started as a way to fill the quiet evenings turned into something I couldn’t put down. I remembered what I’d been missing — the way a story can hold you, comfort you, and make the world feel a little less still.
