This was my first Brandon Sanderson book, and I loved it. I have heard he is the new Tolkien. I loved the struggle and mutual hate of their king/god that allowed them to come out of hiding and risk their lives to free their people. The young girl is strong and is their new leader after her teacher dies saving her. He knew she had more power, and it could be used to free them. I will need to continue the series to see what happens next.
